Slap The Monkey

Slap the Monkey, or Spank the Monkey as it is called in-game, is a small Flash-based game that is easy to play. Once started, an inflatable toy monkey appears on the game screen, smiling stupidly with one fist raised. On the other side of the game screen is a hand-shaped paddle used to slap the monkey off of the screen.

The controls are simple: the player uses the mouse to click and drag the paddle so that it strikes the monkey. This flings the monkey off the screen, and a report appears telling the player the speed at which the monkey was slapped. Higher speeds are more desirable, with 200 mph as the minimum goal for a "nice one" message.

The game contains no blood or gore, although the goal is hitting an object as hard as possible. Aside from the mild innuendo of "spank the monkey" there is no other potentially offensive content. There are no time limits or game over situations. A good slap produces flashing purple text and different music, while tapping the monkey too lightly simply does not move it. After each slap, the monkey reappears, still grinning and ready to be slapped again. Unfortunately, the game does not keep track of trophies or top speeds, even on a per-session basis.
